Defrag Keynoters, Part 1

Defrag’s registration opens to the public on July 5th, so I wanted to let everyone know a few things:

1. We’re limiting this year’s crowd to 325 people. We’re doing this because last year, when we were over that number, it started to become clear that we were on the verge of being too big for the intimacy of conversation that Defrag is all about. So, this year, 325.

2. We’re focusing this here much more heavily on the keynote stage than ever before. Accordingly, we’ll have 20, 30 minute keynotes over 2 days as the centerpiece of the show. I’ve started to confirm those 20 keynotes — currently, they include:

Paul Kedrosky (of Kauffman Foundation, Bloomberg and Ladders fame)
Tim Bray (Google Android)
Roger Ehrenberg (Founder and Managing Partner, IA Ventures)
James Altucher (CNBC and The Altucher Confidential)
Robert Stephens (CTO, Best Buy)
Lili Cheng (Microsoft Research)
Adrian Cockcroft (Cloud Architect, Netflix)
Phil Weiser (Dean, CU Law School)
Hal Stern (Office of the CTO, Juniper Networks)

….that’s nine, which means I’ve got eleven to go — and I’m working on some absolutely spectacular speakers.

Mark your calendars — public registration for Defrag opens on Tuesday, July 5th. Make sure to grab your seat early.
