Yesterday, I announced the Kauffman Scholarships for Defrag - including the fact that we’re reserving 50% of the scholarships for women students/entrepreneurs, and that we’re working on a project whereby we’d award college tuition money to a deserving young woman that wants to study computer science.
Continuing that theme today, I wanted to announce the “Women in Tech” event that we’ll be having at Defrag. I’ve been working on this with Mollie Rusher of On3 Solutions, and I’m really excited that we’ll be doing this. Mollie’s still working on a catchy name for the event, but the basic gist of it is this: if you’re a woman and you’re attending Defrag, we’re putting together a private, invite-only lunch for you, so that you can network with other women in tech (and discuss how to get more women involved in tech).
Obviously, we’ll have more details to follow - but in the meantime, make sure you get registered for Defrag!
