Things I’ve never used
by Eric Norlin on Aug.03, 2007, under general
For some reason, I was just sitting here thinking of things (technology) I’ve never used:
Twitter
Jaiku
MyBlogLog
A blackberry
A PS3
Flickr
99.9% of things profiled on TechCrunch
iPhone (though I’d like to)
A Linux laptop
Drupal
Mahalo
MySpace
World of Warcraft
and I’m sure the list goes on and on….jeez, am I a luddite?

World of Warcraft may be the new golf, but hey, I don’t play golf, either.
I think it is about finding the right tools and right flow — being open to changes, but not needing to rush out and use everything just because it is there. For me, that means mostly blogging, flickr, twitter, del.icio.us, and a little facebook. I love my digital camera, but I’m not a gadget freak.
I don’t have the time to sign up for everyone’s private beta. I like to watch things, and try them out once I see how it might be useful or fun for me.
You blog and you’re on facebook, you can’t be a luddite

Hey Eric -
I’ve spent the morning defragging out on the Defrag blog. You are rocking and seriously on to something. In this post I think you’re describing something I’m calling the Noise Cancelling Web
See you at DIDW and beyond…
